Guided lessons you work through beside the simulation, each one a sitting's worth of measuring and writing down. Progress saves as you go, and finishing one gets you a lab report with your answers.
About the physics model Instructor resources
Short on time? Classroom activities are prepared teaching formats — a five-minute demonstration, a twenty-minute activity, a full lab — cut from these same investigations. See the classroom activities
Lessons stand alone, but some build on each other. These are orders that work, with what each one assumes you have already done.
Everything the simulation has recorded, as CSV. Open it in a spreadsheet, or read it straight into pandas.
Columns carry their units in the name: distances in AU, times in days, speeds in km/s, energies in joules. Positions are recorded ten times a second of real time, and the history holds the last several hundred frames.
Open the companion notebook in Colab to plot the orbits, fit a period and recover the central mass from these files. No installation: it runs in a browser tab.
Enter a name so the report can be attributed to you.
The report lists every question, your answers, and which of the automatically checked ones matched. It also carries links that reopen the exact simulations you used.
No setting matches that.
Paste Gravitas share links, one per line, in the order you will present them. The arrow keys step through them without leaving Lecture Mode.
