What is up, where, and when. Choose a place and a time between 1900 and 2100 and see the horizon as an observer there sees it, and the same sky laid out as a map. The Sun, Moon, five planets and the 904 brightest stars are placed by the same calculations the instruments below read, so the picture, the table and every reading agree.

"Use my location" asks your browser once, uses the answer on this page only, and does not send or save it. The time is UTC; civil time and universal time are treated as the same (they differ by under a second)."Usar mi ubicación" se la pide una vez a tu navegador, usa la respuesta solo en esta página y no la envía ni la guarda.

Five readers that use the place and time above. Each shows its numbers and can save them as a Gravitas evidence file (gravitas.artifact/1) that says what each number is and how far to trust it.Cinco lectores que usan el lugar y la hora de arriba.

- Stars are placed to about 1 arcminute from 5° of altitude upward (measured against the IAU SOFA algorithms); the Sun to 0.01°, the Moon to 0.02°, the planets to 0.2° (Saturn to 0.21°). Planets are drawn from 1800 to 2050 only.
- Planet positions come from JPL's DE441 ephemeris wherever the mission lab's ephemeris data cover the date (Venus, Mars and the Jupiter system's barycenter, 2025 to 2045, within a few kilometers), corrected for the light's travel time, and from low-precision orbital elements everywhere else and for Mercury and Saturn (about 0.2°). The line above the table says which each planet used. Jupiter is the barycenter of its system, which is up to 1,000 km from the planet, under half an arcsecond.
- Near the horizon, refraction depends on the weather and the model here is a standard atmosphere: below 5° of altitude the altitude shown can be off by several arcminutes, and the readings say so. The airmass fit is for apparent altitude.
- Dates after 2025 use an extrapolated Earth-rotation correction (delta-T), uncertain by about half a second a year; this moves the sky by under an arcminute.
- Stars: the Yale Bright Star Catalogue (Hoffleit and Warren, via CDS V/50), shipped with no licence stated and credited, to magnitude 4.5. A star's colour is the blackbody colour that matches its B-V, not its true temperature. Traditional names are the catalogue's own spellings. Constellation lines were drawn for Gravitas and mark patterns, not boundaries.
